MINDFUL SENIORS

The Mindful Seniors:
A Wellbeing Workshop for Secondary School Students

Why This Workshop Matters

In today’s fast-paced and highly demanding academic world, students are under endless increasing pressures amongst school deadlines, exams, constant and ongoing notifications and social expectations which at times lead to high levels of stress, anxiety and can escalate to panic attacks.

Recent research by the American Psychological Association shows that Gen Z

reports the highest stress levels in any age group.

Evidence-based Mindfulness and Yoga practices have significantly been proven to help:

  • Mindfulness –> reduce anxiety and depression in adolescents (Zoogman et al., Mindfulness, 2015).

  •  Yoga → improves focus, emotional regulation and resilience (Khalsa et al., Journal of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, 2012).

Our dedicated and handcrafted Mindful Seniors workshop, ideal for students ages 12-17 brings these

tools into the school environment to support mental health, emotional balance, regulation, focus and concentration, as well as boost acceptance and gratitude levels; skills which directly enhance

students’ overall wellbeing, improve behavior and academic performance delivered in

prioritizing their physical, emotional and emotional safety.
